Jun 25, 2019

Announced in the Times today. Dr Alexander Reip was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in May 2019. The RSC is a learned society with the goal of “advancing the chemical sciences”. Alex is extremely grateful for the RSC’s recognition of his experience and work in the field of innovative coatings to improve two-phase heat transfer surfaces.

Oxford nanoSystems has developed nanoFLUX®, a coating technology that reduces the temperature a heating element needs to reach before the surrounding liquid boils. This reduction allows systems to be more efficient and therefore reduces overall energy consumption. The market applications for this extend in all areas of society from domestic uses in air conditioning and refrigeration to larger industrial including waste energy recovery and energy generation to fast growing markets such as data centre cooling and high-performance electronics.
