Vivian Lee

Thermal Engineer

Vivian joined Oxford nanoSystems in June 2020 as a thermal engineer and is currently pursuing a PhD in microchannel flow boiling for power electronics cooling at Brunel University London, where she obtained her first degree in Aviation Engineering. She has over five years of research experience in both macroscale and microscale two-phase flow and heat transfer.

Prior to this, she worked as a research assistant in the Institute of Thermal Engineering at the University of Kassel, focused on pool boiling as well as multiphase oil and gas flows. Vivian is interested in the development of integrated cooling systems and the optimisation of nanostructured coatings in order to improve heat transfer performance in industrial applications including heat exchangers, heat pipes, pool and flow boiling systems.
